A view from barnoon terrace.

This is one of my favourite views of St. Ives. It's from a small terrace of 3 story houses each with a magnificent view very similar to this one. The only problem with St. Ives is it's parking situation, it must be very difficult for the people that live in the area. None of the houses along this street has allocated parking so people staying there have to park their vehicles in a public car park. It is a similar situation for the majority of people in the central part of St. Ives.

Have a good one.

Shadowed views of a Church...

Happy Happy Easter!!

The name of this church is unknown to me, but it sits directly on the beach of St. Ives Harbour.

I like to think of days long ago, when it was just a quiet fishing village, how the villagers would commune, and their fishing cottages built along the harbour; the women waiting for their fisherman to come home, having been gone since the tides had gone out that morning, to return with the tides... And every Sunday, the people of this little fishing village would congregate at this church...

A Narrow Road...

I love the quirkiness of these narrow little roads... this one is particular is obviously a residential road, but all over this little Cornish village you will find similar roads, some offering residential and others shops, shops and more shops! The cobblestone paths, the stone and granite built cottages - with such tiny doors!!

Market Town of St. Ives

Quiet shopping time here in St. Ives... taken during the winter months. The town is right next door to Hayle and is a very popular vacation spot!

St. Ives Harbour

To look backward for a while is to refresh the eye, to restore it, and to render it the more fit for its prime function of looking forward.
-- Margaret Fairless Barber

A Newcomer to residing in the beauty of Cornwall, I have no recollection of days gone by... nostalgia for me is in the imagination... St. Ives is just a stone throw away from Hayle and very easily joined together by the coastal path.
