Looks like Snow and Ice!

Following my latest obsession of classic literature, here is something from The Private Papers of Henry Ryecroft, by ~George Gissing

"For the man sound in body and serene of mind there is no such thing as bad weather; every sky has its beauty, and storms which whip the blood do but make it pulse more vigorously."

White Wash...

“Limitations live only in our minds. But if we use our imaginations, our possibilities become limitless.”

Too Cold for me...

This was taken a few months ago... waters were about 8 degrees C - too cold for me.

So, I sat on some rocks and took pictures...

Sittin' on some rocks...

After a chaotic day, looking out as the ocean crashes onto the rocks, help nicely to calm my mood...

"Anything under the sun is beautiful if you have the vision—
it is the seeing of the thing that makes it so. The world is waiting
for men and women with vision—it is not interested in mere pictures.
What people subconsciously are interested in is the expression of beauty,
something that helps them through the humdrum day,
something that shocks them out of themselves and
something that makes them believe in the beauty and the glory of human existence"

Hangin' Around

Sitting and waiting for her 'friends' to come out of their holes...

This is Molokini, she loves to chase rabbits! Her ears are up, because there are wild rabbits less than 200 meters away...

At the moment, she fancies a rest, we've been out walking her, about 6 miles this afternoon.

Absorbed in the moment....

“An inexhaustible good nature is one of the most precious gifts of heaven, spreading itself like oil over the troubled sea of thought, and keeping the mind smooth and equable in the roughest weather.”-- Washington Irving (American Writer called the first American man of letters. Best known for the short stories, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow and Rip Van Winkle. 1783-1859)

As much as I love days when the Sun is beaming and the air is warm, I can't help but feel a calmness when I see the sky like this. Sitting in the car park, with our thermos filled with hot chocolate, accompanied with maybe ginger snaps or a box of Hawaiian Host Macadamia Nut Chocolates.... or (what do you see yourself doing?)
